"Are You Dead" is a web-based automated notification system designed to alert designated contacts if a user fails to check in within a specified timeframe.
- Check-ins: Users are responsible for "checking in" via the application interface or email links.
- Triggers: Failure to check in triggers a countdown timer.
- Notifications: Once the timer expires, the Service automatically sends pre-configured messages to the user's "Trusted Contacts."
User Responsibilities
To ensure the efficacy of the Service and prevent false alarms, you agree to:
Check-In Regularly: You must respond to check-in prompts in a timely manner.
Maintain Contacts: Keep your Trusted Contacts' information up to date.
Inform Contacts: You are responsible for informing your contacts that they have been added to this Service.
4. Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS NOT A REPLACEMENT FOR EMERGENCY SERVICES (911).
"Are You Dead" is a software tool provided "as is". We make no warranties regarding the reliability of email delivery, SMS gateways, or internet connectivity. We are not liable for any damages, injury, or distress caused by:
- Failure of the Service to send a notification.
- Failure of a Trusted Contact to receive or act upon a notification.
- False alarms caused by user error or technical malfunction.
Termination
You may terminate your account at any time via the account settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
